ParticipantFished the 5mm , mostly in Lickbranch cove. Halfway back into main cove. Caught several fish. One keeper we’ll over three pounds. The fog was terrible and didn’t clear to well after noon. All fish caught on a buzzbaits and senkos. The keeper was in two feet of water on bank, others all caught in front of docks in around 10 feet of water. No shad was seen were I was fishing. Water temp was around 64.

ParticipantFished 10-30, 8:30am to 1:00pm. Mostly fished around cove where Village Marina is located on 3mm marker. Good day for fishing, much cloud cover all morning. Caught 14 fish, 3 keepers. Water temp 64 degrees, air temp 68. Two of the keepers was caught on a black buzzbait, third one caught on a little Cleo s**** jigging in from of docks. Most buzzbait baits on front and back corners of dock. Also once again caught a few on senkos . Overall good day , lots of fish caught !

ParticipantFished three hours from 9:30 to around 12:30am. Fished from dam up into lick branch cove. Terrible day for us. Had one hit on a jig. Threw jerkbaits and my son threw jigs. No takers, would have settled for anything !!! Water temp was between 35-36 degrees. Was ice in back of some coves. Super heavy wind gust at times.

ParticipantHow is the ice on the lake? Planning on putting in at Coffman Beach this weekend. Hoping the bass start biting. Thanks

ParticipantToday Coffman was iced in, see BB Daily Fishing Log for photos. However, today we had a good wind, above freezing temps and sunshine, as such I did notice a significant melt late afternoon on the Glaize where I live. If the temps continue above freezing w sun during the day and with some wind during the nights, the ice should melt and/or become very thin and you should be able to launch your boat.

ParticipantFished this weekend , March 8 & 9th. Fished approx. three hours each day. Was mostly in Lickbranch cove and threw jerkbaits and jigs. Fished slow with both baits but no takers. Both days was a bust. Water temp was 36-37. These fish have to start biting , been one of the worst winters fishing. Did feel good to get out though and give it a shot. Spoke with several boats while out and no one was doing anything. Even the crappie fisherman was stumped , nothing there either. Was still thin layer of ice in back of some coves . Seems like still on real cold nights backwaters still freezing a light layer. Hope someone had better luck !
