ParticipantWill be fishing the Glaize arm most of this week (Tues afternoon through Friday). Is the floating debris a factor? I plan to “tune in” on the shad. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

ParticipantQuick summary: Tuesday evening (5-7:30 pm) fished points around the 6 mm of the Glaize arm. One keeper (3.8) and three shorts on a t-rigged watermelon green plastic worm – all 6′ or less. Wednesday morning (7-11 am) mainly fished points with shallow crank bait and deeper with a fat free shad (8 shorts, 3 white bass, and no keepers), after starting out in back of a couple coves with a buzz bait. Thursday (9 am – 2 pm) I began cranking points, shallow and deep. Caught 3 shorts and as the wind picked up caught a half dozen white bass. Moved to the condo docks where there was a very active bite (weightless white Zoom flukes and green pumpkin wacky worms). Of the 30+ bass, only one keeper LM (17″) and a couple 12+” spotted. Started out Friday morning with a weighted Senko around channel swings and the first two fish caught were smaller keepers (16+”). Finished up the morning with a shad colored shallow crank around docks and lay downs in the backs of coves, picking up four 12-14″ bass. All in all, enjoyable time and gained an appreciation for fishing dock corners and fronts in the wind.

ParticipantFished with a buddy Thursday in the Glaize..11am-3pm..caught 10 non keepers all on g.p. or water red shaky heads or wacky rigs..Fish where you have current and any form of shade, halfway in coves to the back. We found both sizes of shad in most of the coves, even schools?? of minnows. Overall fishing fair at best. -Don

ParticipantWhen the wind is right back of the coves almost churnin mud with the trollin motor shad presence is a must.

ParticipantFished the Glaize today from 10 am until 2pm. Caught several shorts and a couple keeper spots fishing main channel docks on stick worms and flukes. Caught two keeper largemouths, including a 4.3 pounder running a white chatterbait along shallow docks in the backs of coves. Wind was a big factor.

ParticipantFished about three hours this afternoon on the Grand Glaize. Front to middle of coves were productive in the 7-10′ depth range on a Luck E Strike Rick Clunn jerk bait (8 bass, 4 keepers). Also caught five large white bass and a couple big crappie on the same lure/technique.
