Location/Presentation/Structure

Fishing shallow around any type of wood, running the buzz bait and frog next to wood slowly produced fish all day. Fishing today was up the Osage at the 56 – 60 mile marker.

Fishing Notes

The water up the Osage was a bit cooler than in the main lake area. The water clarity was clear in some places, stained and muddy in other places. We focused on very thin water 3′ or less with wood laydowns, brush, grass patches in flooded areas, it was these areas that produced big bass and numbers of bass. Some fish were also caught from behind docks in these shallow areas. While some bass are starting to move out of the shallows to points, we had no bites on points so we focused fishing shallow the majority of the day. Overall we had about 21lb of fish for our best 5 fish.
