Fishing Notes |
---|
Fishing today for me was much better than yesterday. I caught a few nice keepers on the Crock-o-Gator football head jig. All of the keeper bass were caught sitting over the main river channel (50′ plus deep) and casting just inside of the cove on the bluff ends and bluff cuts, then dragging the jig slowly across the rocks on the bottom. Seeing the fish locations inside of the coves and bluff cuts were key to fishing, as I would locate the fish first then back off and fish to them. Also, last nights BWTSA tournament took an impressive 24.77 pounds to win. Keeper fish in the tournament were being caught on big jigs, 10″ worms, Zara Spook, spinnerbaits and jerkbaits mostly on points, pockets and docks close to deep water channels. |
