Fishing Notes

While we had no LOZ hawgs in our 2 1/2 hours of July afternoon fishing today, the fisherman had such a great time. Chuck, from Alaska and a fly fisherman, caught his first ever largemouth bass on a crankbait. Emily who has never been fishing in her life or ever touched a fish, caught two bass including a keeper off of a bluff with a wacky rigged senco. Chuck video taped Emily fighting the fish, I hope to have it on this website as soon as I receive it, but I quite sure everyone will enjoy watching Emily fight a nice LOZ bass on light tackle, high winds, heavy boat traffic on a bluff….just trying to keep Emily steady on the boat to fight the fish was fun and quite the task, thankfully she has great balance and athletic skills. Aiden, also caught the first bass of the day, he we so thrilled. I am sure that he would have fished all day if possible. His concentration on working that worm properly was awesome. A fun day for me to see the excitement of this trio on vacation catching their first ever bass on Lake of the Ozarks.
