Fishing Notes

The fish seem to be in transition from bluff ends, deep end of long points and bluffs to their summertime hideouts. Today, I focused on fishing deep brush piles in 15′ to 25′ of water, mostly with a Texas rigged plastic worm. However, that bite was just not happening for me today. I was out on the water from about 4:30 – 7:00, so not a lot of time on the water to figure out the fish. Fish that were caught seemed to have bait fish close by, on small cove banks and bluff cuts where the water gets shallow – 8′ – 10′ of water. The abundance of fish still seem to be deep on points, however they were suspended in the water column, where I tried stroking the fluttering spoon, but no takers today.

If you caught some today or have a pattern, please send us your report to info@bassingbob.com or post on the forums. Hopefully tomorrow the fish will show themselves and we can figure out a solid pattern.
