All keeper and the majority of the fish were caught just inside of main channel points with slick/calm water. Other fish were caught on points and creek channels near the backs of coves. |

The morning bite was awesome today. I fished from 8:00AM to 10:00AM and caught 8 bass of which 4 were keepers. The sky was overcast and wind very light. The fish were just inside of the main lake points, in about 4′-8′ of water. Rocky points (not bluff ends) were a key to the bite. I simply went from point to point, caught a fish or missed a couple and moved to the next point. The afternoon/early evening bite was quite w bit tougher. With the wind picking up, I fished the points with worms and jigs as well as the backs of coves along the cove creek channel. I caught a few fish, but no keepers in 3 hours of exploring. The top water bite never showed up this evening for me as a cold front with rain came in about 6:00 and that seemed to slow down the bite.
