Fishing Notes |
---|
Another tough summer day fishing. Today I fished from 2:00PM – 6:00PM. Of course those are not the ideal hours to be fishing in the summertime. There seem to be fish hanging around deep brush piles, however I was not able to compel those fish to bite with a 10″ plastic worm or jig. I spent sometime today on bluffs, mostly targeting the last 25 yards of a bluff with big rocks and shade. While I did not catch any really big fish, the keepers that were caught came off of the these bluffs with a 1 oz jig, the fish were holding very close to the bluff in rocks and under shade. One of the keepers caught, at least a 3+ pounder came undone right at the boat. I caught some short fish in the backs of coves with baitfish on a square bill crank bait and silver sided rattle trap. |
