10-13mm of Glaize. Fishing wood laydowns on banks and wood in shallow coves. |
Fishing Notes |
---|
I only fished a couple of hours on Sunday evening. I ran up the Glaize into the river/shallow section of the Glaize around PB1. I fished the bluffs across from PB1 with no success and some shallow coves past PB1. There just did not seem to be a lot of bait fish in those areas. The bait fish seemed to be scattered throughout the area, but nothing that I could find to pattern a bite. The fish that I caught were shallow on wood lay downs on the jig and wood in shallow water running the square bill crank bait along the wood, as my good friend Jack Uxa of Jacks Guide Service www.fisinglakeoftheozarks.com showed me last week, when we caught many bass along shallow wood up the Osage. I did have some very good blow ups along the bank wood an pockets on the KVD Salty Dawg walking bait, worked very similar to the spook, but no hook ups. |
