Fishing Notes

Today I ran from home in the Glaize to the 7mm of the Osage. As I practice to be a co-angler next weekend in the FLW BFL tournament, I plan to work many different areas of the lake and work at trying different patterns. While as a co-angler, I will not have much control over the boat, location on the lake and structure to be fished, I will work many different scenarios on the lake. This morning for 2 hours I concentrated on docks in pockets with shade. I fished the shady side of these docks with the KVD walking bait (similar to zara spook), swimming a jig and skipping a senco behind docks in cove pockets around shallow water, last few docks in the pocket. I had several big blow ups on the top water bait along the sides of docks and caught one small keeper on the KVD bait and short fish on the Senco working slowly all around the docks. Tomorrow, I plan to run to the dam area again but concentrate on different patterns…stay tuned.
