Fishing Notes

Today felt like of bit of redemption after a disastrous outing in the FLW BFL co-angler experience. While my boater and I caught fish, we really did not start fishing the pattern that was on until about 1:00 which left little time to make any difference in the tourney. My boater caught a 5 plus under a swim dock in shallow water, which seems to be where the pigs are. Today, I had 4 keepers, not great big ones, biggest was a 3.7 pounder under a dock on a brush hog. The key seems to be backs of coves with lots of bait fish. Fishing docks and isolated cover. Fish the isolated cover with a COG buzz bait, docks swimming a COG jig or dragging a brush hog or worm. Bait fish are a key. This weekend, there were some good ones caught on typical summer patterns, heavy jigs and worms on deep points with cover like brush. Jacks Guide Service reported catching some good fish today on Senco style worms around docks. Pics of today to come later as I still need to up load later.
