Fishing Notes |
---|
Today saw a big difference in the weather with temperatures in the low 60’s – 70 degrees, there was a steady wind all day, these are conditions that are a big change from the previous couple of weeks of hot temperatures, no wind and sunny skies. Today Shane and I took advantage of the wind by fishing docks and wave breaks with the wind directly hitting them. We caught a lot of small bass, lost several fish and caught a couple of small keepers. We did fish some shallow back ends of coves, we both had some good blow-ups on topwater baits but missed the fish. The best bite of the day was a likely 4+ pounder that hit my jig behind a condo dock shallow against a sea wall, but my hook set was poor and he came undone…”the big one that got away” :). |
