Fishing Notes |

While the bass bite was not great today, Denise and I are practicing for the Big Bass Bash to be held next weekend at Lake of the Ozarks. We know that there should be a good shallow bite in the backs of coves with bait fish next weekend, we focused our attention today on bluffs and bluff ends, hoping to see that the bait fish have moved onto bluff ledges and bluffs. While we did see some schools of bait fish on a few bluffs, the migration to the bluffs is not quite the same at the migration is to the back of coves. We stuck with this practice strategy today trying different bluffs, depths and lake areas. Denise did a great jog catching bass using the 3/4 oz Crock-o-Gator reaction jig. When the quality bass finally get on the bluffs, the COG jig is designed specifically for this bite and will produce very big bass. |
