Fishing Notes

Today was a tale of two days. The weather started out foggy then cloudy and calm in the morning. This set the stage for many hits on the topwater. The afternoon was mostly sunny. Fished the Glaize for a couple hours in the morning and had several hits on the spook. Had a huge, heavy fish hit on a main point on the bone colored spook. After a few cranks it broke off. I think the line may have rubbed some rocks causing the break off. We caught one keeper on a black spook in the Glaize.
We ran to Racetrack Cove near the 28 mm. We caught a keeper on the corner of a wave break on a bone spook and a few shorts. Then went to the back of the cove where it was loaded with shad. Caught another keeper on a Crock-O- Gator buzzbait on the top corners of a dock. Caught some shorts on secondary points in the back of Racetrack. We stopped at a mainlake wave break and caught a couple short Kentucky’s on a jig. The fish are a bit scattered but are relating to cover and near bait fish.
