Fishing Notes |
---|
Today my son Robbie and I fished early in the shall backs of several coves at the 16mm, just past the toll bridge on the west side. We fished early in the shade of the morning with top water baits with our only fish being a 3.9 pounder on the KVD Sexy Dawg. We did catch several short fish shallow on jigs, fishing behind, along side and skipping under shallow docks. As the sun rose and the wind picked up we caught some fish on wave breaks and on the corners of docks with the jerk bait and swimming jig. We caught our next keeper a 2.12 pounder in a sexy shad square bill crank bait on the inside of a main lake point with wind hitting the bank. Our final keeper of the day was caught under the swim platform of a shallow dock on a Crock-o-Gator jig. Most of the short fish caught today were caught on the jerk bait around shallow docks in coves with bait fish and shade on the dock. |
