Glaize Arm Secondary Points with Wind

Fished this afternoon from 3-6. It was somewhat tough but was able to manage a few bass. We had a few hits on a buzzbait inside wells of docks did not hook them. Had another short strike the buzzbait on a corner of a dock. The third cast of the day on a windy point had one hit a jerkbait but did not hook up. A few cast later with a crankbait was the same result. I surely cannot figure out how they do not get hooked on the jerkbait or crankbait unless they are just swatting at the lure. The keeper was caught in about 10 feet of water with the wind gusting on the point. The other shorts were also caught on a deep crankbait grinding the rocks in 10-15 feet of water on the point that the wind was blowing into. There was a lot of white caps today as the wind was strong. There was shad everywhere in the back of some coves the wind was blowing directly into. The wind was gusting in the back of these coves and the shad were thick. No takers on a medium crank or jerkabit but snagged several shad.
