Fishing Notes |
---|
We fished the Big Bass Blast on Table Rock today. We have not fished the lake for years and did not have time to pre fish. The lake sets up much different than LOZ and we knew this going in. We spent the day targeting cedar trees in 15-25 feet of water. The wind was extremely strong with white caps in the areas we were fishing. These type winds on LOZ are almost a sure thing for a few keepers on secondary points and main points. We had one smallmouth on a crankbait on a windy secondary point. Another bass came out of one of the very few boat dock wells with the wind blowing in the well on a spinnerbait. The best bite, although mostly small bass were towards the back of the coves in cedar trees on jigs. Had a real nice one, the best bite we had as it was a strong fish, break of in an area with many stumps and cedars close together. I believe the line must have been frayed from rubbing the cedars. |
