Fishing Notes |
---|
We fished channel banks that were shaded in the late afternoon. We had several bass chase the buzzbait with a few takers but mostly small. There was one major blow up on the buzzbait near the side of a dock in about 8 feet of water in a small creek off the main channel. I’m not sure the size of the bass but was a nice one. We moved to a creek that had several secondary points with a few more short strikes. The back of this cove had a flat that was loaded with shad. There was the occasional bust on the surface with fish feeding on the shad. We fanned cast the area with a spook and buzzbait and was able to land one keeper and a couple more shorts before we ran out of daylight. |
