Fishing Notes |

Today Jack Uxa (Jacks Guide Service) and I were practicing for the Anglers in Action Tournaments this weekend. I am fortunate to be fishing with Jack as my partner on Saturday. Today we caught our 6 keepers by 11:30, then after we took a break for lunch, the afternoon couple of hours we did not boat a single fish. This morning was rainy and a bit nasty on the water, but we were catching fish, this afternoon we fished the 26-28mm of the Osage, working the same pattern as the morning but we did not boat a single fish, although we did have bites. The fish started to bite hit our baits later in the afternoon behind docks and very close to cover but we did not hook any of them. Overall a pretty good day, we feel this pattern is still solid for keeper bass, however with the cold front coming this weekend, the fish may move off the banks and thus bait and approach adjustments will be necessary for a big bag. |
