Fishing Notes |
---|
Today I ran down to the 10mm of the Osage to fish, the water temperature on the lower end of the lake is 54 degrees which is about 2 degrees warmer than the mid lake area and Glaize. I caught a couple of small Kentucky/Spot Bass on the buzz bait and one small keeper behind a dock on the spinner bait. My targets were banks with large boulder type rocks, sea walls and the backs of docks near the main lake. After a few hours in the Shawnee Bend access area, I ran back to the Glaize and fished channel banks with large rocks that had shade and caught two more keepers and a couple of short fish in the buzz bait. The large gizzard shad are close to the surface and from what I could see visibly were off the banks about 15 yards. However, I am still seeing large gizzard shad on the banks eating on the loose algae on the big rocks. |
