Fishing Notes |
---|
We fished a short time today staying in the backyard as the engine is still out of commission. It was a tough day as there was very little wind and bluebird sky’s. We tried crankbaits, jigs and a buzzbait with no takers. The bass caught on a spinner was inside a pocket on the channel bank. The bass caught on a jerkbait was on a rocky ledge inside a main lake point that has several ledges that drop from a few feet to 25 feet. There were several banks that the shad were right up on the bank in a few inches of water. The bass were not active in these areas with no takers on a spinner and crankbait. We ran out of time as we had the monthly meeting in the mid afternoon otherwise we would have backed off the bank and drag a jig in 10-20 feet of water. |
