Fishing Notes |

Today was a few hours fishing contained to just using the trolling motor. We took the boat out after a tough day fishing for repairs and headed to Marty’s Marine. The bass seem to be scattered as their is no definite pattern we could find. The bass caught today were on a gradual bank close to a main point within 20 yards of each other. There was a slight breeze directly on the bank with some chop on the water when the bass hit. This pattern could of continued if the wind would have cooperated but conditioned changed quickly to no wind and bright still day. We had a few hits on the buzzbait behind docks but were short strikes. The large 8-12 inch gizzard shad are still on the large chunk rock banks. We could visual see the silver flash of the large shad in several areas as shallow as these shad can get. With the water still high and no generation the bass seemed to be scattered. The weather forecast for the end of the week is calling for snow, sleet and cold. This low pressure system may just be what is needed to turn the large bass back on. |
