Fishing Notes |
---|
Today we moved around a lot looking for locations preparing BWST on Sunday. The best bite was on channel banks 1/2 to 2/3rds of the way back in the coves with 45 degree banks. The banks we got bit on were mostly medium size chunk rock banks with a couple bites on the larger chunk rock. Several of the bass were just off the bank in 3-8 feet of water. the presentation was sloooooow. Many of the bass ate the lure while suspended or slowly sinking between twitches. The pause was a count around 8-12. There was not the bump or tap you would normally feel. it was more of a very slight pull on the line or when twitching, there she was. although there was a fair amount of wind, a couple of the keepers were on a windy bank and all the others were in fairly still water with just a small chop. The channel banks nearest to the secondary points have been the best bite. |
