Fishing Notes

Today Jack and I were mostly exploring different potential patterns to locate fish and a steady bite. The steady bite never did materialize as we caught some small keepers and shorts on 3 different baits. The most consistent bite came on the A-Rig around secondary points with a lot of wind and along docks with shade. I love fishing with Jack, because he is so versatile and he tries many different baits and colors when he is exploring for patterns. If any of you ever come to the lake and have not been here for a while, you should hire Jack for a guide trip, he will put you on the right pattern, right baits and the right colors. It is hard for me to describe how hard he works to prepare for his guide trips and he is a very humble fisherman with great character and fun to fish with.
