Fished in Lick Cove today at the 5mm. As Ben nor I were really familiar with this cove we targeted main points in the cove with wind and brush piles that we could find. |
Fishing Notes |
---|
We only had a few hours to fish today in a cove that we were not familiar with, so w started at the very back of the cove and bounced from point to point. The fishing was tough as we did not catch many fish and most of the bait fish we saw were hanging in the middle of the channel. We worked the points and some docks with the jerk bait and A-Rig. The cove seemed to have mostly flat banks without a lot of 45 degree banks, we tried fishing shallow and also moving well off the points with out much luck. We caught one short fish next to a dock, a keeper on an open small rock rounded bank/point and a keeper off a deep brush pile with A-Rig. |
