Fishing Notes |
---|
Today Ben and I fished from 2:30 – 5:00 this afternoon, the fish just were not biting very well as we explored secondary points and channel banks in big coves with wind, fishing both shallow and off the banks. When we saw fish on the graph they seemed to be mostly concentrated near the bottom in 15-20 feet of water. We fished for them with a jig, A-Rig and jerkbait. Our 3 fish today came up in shallow water 2′-5′ of water. Ben caught a nice 4.7 pounder near a secondary point toward the back of a cove with big rocks, lots of brush piles nearby and slack water with shade/overcast skies. The 4.7 pound hawg was in about 2-3 feet of water and bit as Ben grazed his stick bait across the top of the rocks. |
