We again fished the Glaize today as with four fisherman in the boat we needed open banks versus docks, etc. The bite came from windy points primarily. Jig was worked slowly along the bottom and the jerkbait was a count down to 10-12. Most fish came somewhat shallow in 2-5 feet of water, but wind was key to the bite.

Fishing Notes

Today was another fun day fishing with my nephews Andy, Nick and Jimmy Bueltmann. They are all avid fisherman, Andy 21 years old and Nick and Jimmy mid teenagers. We started out fishing some channel banks in the Glaize across from Parkview Bay Condos, the bait fish and fish were there, but not many bites, the only good bite in that area was a small keeper 2.5-3 pounder on a jig on a windy secondary point close to the bank. We caught and saw many fish along the open bank directly across from Robins Resort, their were many bait fish and fish, but we only caught some whites. The big fish of the day was caught by Andy, a fat 5.3 pound bass on a Smithwick Rogue, (Blue Back, Silver Sides and Orange belly) on a windy secondary point with big rocks.

Also, my good friend and Bassing Bob expert, Wayne Fitzpatrick reported catching 20 pounds today on a jig on the North Shore.
