Fishing Notes |
---|
Brrrrr, it was quite cold out on the water this afternoon, although when in the sun, I did not feel too cold, however the wind made it a bit cold on the hands. The fish were quite cold to all of my offerings too :). I fished this afternoon close to home in the Glaize. Most of the banks and points that I fished had a tremendous amount of wind, which is good, however, the wind pushed my boat so much that is was a bit difficult to sit the jerkbait still in and work it effectively in the water areas that my graph was showing fish. I caught some short bass on the jerkbait but the only keeper came on a jig in slack water along a channel bank in partly cove. I also had a big one (4-5 pound) come off at the boat while I tried to lip in into the boat, also a jig fish about 100 yards on the inside of a cove in party cove. Overall, from what I can see on my graph, the bass are either on the bottom or hanging in deep brush piles. There are some suspended bass about 15′ deep over 20+ deep water. Most fish that I am seeing are either on points, secondary points and points in the very back of big coves. |
