Fishing Notes |
---|
Fishing the past week has been very frustrating, the fish are showing up on the graph, the bait fish are on the graph, the shad are visibly dying off and the wind has been about perfect. However, the fish just don’t want to bite as they usually seem to during this time of year and conditions. The only explanation that I have, short of my fishing skils, is that Ameren still has not drawn down the water to final winter levels, which when they do the fish should stack up a bit in their winter locations. Today, I stuck with the jig most of the day, fishing in and around brush piles when I saw them on my graph and worked slowly in the areas that I saw fish on my graph. I did throw the jerkbait and A-Rig for a while also, but no takers. The jig bites I got today were very very soft, just a bit of weight on the line in about 10-12′ of water. |
