Today I was able to fish for a couple of hours after the take off from the Bassing Bob Tournament. I keep believing that any day these fish are going to turn on, but it did not happen for me today and based on the weights of tournaments, it was not on for most fisherman. While I am seeing plenty of fish on the graph as well as bait fish, some more midway in the water column than I have seen for a while, the fish are just not biting. I did see some 40 degree water on banks that had sun for most of the day and these areas seemed to have more fish midway in the water column and just generally more fish and bait fish on the graph than in the 37 degree water that was often just yards away from the warmer water. As I think back on that now, I wished I would have just soaked those locations and my guess I the fish higher in the water column could indicate more active fish in the warmer water.
