Bassing Bob Members,

Hello everyone I hope you are all doing well, and fishing when its not arctic out!! I wanted to give you all an update on Bob and his health. As most of you know Bob underwent heart surgery January 3rd in St. Louis. The heart surgery was a huge success! Though, during early recovery we did unfortunately have a few setbacks. We now have him at the rehabilitation center where he will have to spend some time to get strong again. Bob is in great spirits and is more motivated than ever to get back to the place he loves! If anyone of you have any questions and or just want to talk fishing feel free to reach out to me or Steve Heitman. Most the time you guys know where to find me at Fitz’s. I will do my best to update Bobs status regularly. Thank you all for always being supportive of Bassing Bob, and Bob himself!!

Sincerely,
Bassin Rob!!!

Fishing Notes

Today started out a little slow as I worked the jerk bait and A-Rig off the bank out to about 15 feet of water as it seemed that my graph was indicating that the fish were suspended well off the banks. I only had moderate success with a couple of short fish. Then I moved to the backs of coves and fished chunk and small rock banks that near deep water creek channels and got bit on Dirks jig. As mentioned in yesterdays report, Dirks jig caught a lot of fish in this past weekends tournaments, so I tried it out this week and the past two days I have caught some quality keepers with it. Dirks jigs are exclusively available at Fitz Fishing Tackle and Supplies in Osage Beach. Owner, Wayne Fitzapatrick of Fitz Fishing indicated that there is quite a lot of buyers of this custom jig however he is getting a fresh supply today. You might want to call Fitz Fishing and have Wayne put some aside for you if you are out of town and travelling here to fish tourneys this weekend, they are flying off the shelf. Most importantly they are catching very nice bass right now.
