Fishing Notes |
---|
Today there was a good consistent bite, early in the day (I got my first cast in about 11) the bite was fairly consistent on the Pro Blue Jerk Bait while the sun was out on secondary points of main creek points as well as secondary points and banks in pockets off the main creek channels. The bite was consistently close to the bank but not right on the bank, about 5-20 yards off the bank. When the overcast skies moved in, I switched to the Mega Bass Wakasaki Jerk Bait, the bite continued but the fish were smaller. Then I started to focus on the back 1/3 of creeks and pockets with steep banks and somewhat hiding from the wind throwing Dirks Jig (buy them at Fitz Fishing in Osage Beach) and the bite continued with two more keepers including a 5 pounder that came off a very small brush pile in about 5 feet of water. |
