Fishing Notes

Today we fished the USA Bassin tournament out of PB2. The bite for the bigger fish was difficult. We had several bites on both the jig and jerkbait in 1-8 feet of water on a transition bank that leads into the back of a small creek.
The water was very clear. Hopefully with the forecast of rain this week will give the water some color. The bigger fish are coming up but not biting with any consistency.

We had one small keeper and at least 12 bass all together, We had a good one break off on the hook set, the bad part of that besides losing the fish it surfaced a couple times trying to throw the jig, salt in the wounds for sure. Then we had another good bite on the jerkbait with good weight that came off after a couple cranks.
We had 2 drum over 5 pounds on the jig and another small drum.

8 of the bass, including the break off and keeper on a jerkbait that came off, were caught on a 30 yard stretch of bank on a transition bank towards the back end of a small creek.
