Fishing Notes |
---|
Today was extremely windy which made fishing the jig and chigger craw a bit challenging. I started out working the backs of some coves at about the 8mm of the Glaize and only got one bite on the jig. Then I ran to the 10mm of Glaize and caught the 4 pounder on a jerkbait in about 8 feet of water on a main lake point with lots of wind. I then went to a channel bank just past PB1, with the wind blowing me down the bank, I fished with a War Eagle spinner bait with big thumper blades in the stained-muddy 55 degree water with no bites, then I worked the same bank into the wind flipping the black Zoom Crazy Legs Chigger Craw on a Chompers stand up head and caught a couple of small keepers, they were both on wood, I am guessing the wood provided them some protection from the strong wind hitting directly on the bank. |
