Today the bite was hard to come by, I only had a few bites from short fish and one small keeper. Today I worked the bluff area of the upper Glaize past PB1, the water was stained but warm, 62-64 degrees. However, the bass were just not biting, only caught one bass on the tube on a tree lay down. Then I fished a couple of small pockets/coves in party cove, with one bite on the Carolina rig and one on the jig. My final location today was the Lazy Days cove, I had a couple of short ones on the jig and one small keeper on a weighted fluke in the middle area of a pocket. Today I mostly fished well off the banks in the pockets and coves hoping that the big females were in the area of the small bucks roaming the banks, but no takers. |
