Fishing Notes |
---|
Today Ben and I tried to replicate our practice day on Friday. We weighed in 5 small keepers today in the Angers in Action Tournament for 10.62 pounds. We fished many of the docks on secondary points and docks in small pockets in Chimney cove. All the keepers were caught the on shaded side of the dock float near the back corner. We had several other bites but did not get hooked up. There was one dock we could see 3 keeper bass swimming just under the black dock floats on the very back side of the dock. The bass are so ready to start their spring ritual. They are positioned in the back side of the darkest area of the dock. We had 4 keepers with 30 minutes left. We knew of a float behind a condo dock on the way back to the weigh in that we felt would have a keeper and headed directly to that one float. There was a 3 pounder on that float caught in the last 15 minutes. The float was in 2 feet of water on a small point leading into a spawning pocket. Pictures can be seen on the tournaments results page of AIA Tournament. |
