Fishing Notes |
---|
After a few days of family fun and fishing at Tablerock Lake the end of last week and Easter weekend, I returned to LOZ this afternoon. I fished for just a couple of hours, primarily to test many baits as I have a fishing outing on Tuesday of this coming week with Brent Frazee, the Outdoor Writer for the KC Star and Jim Divincen the Executive Director of Lake of the Ozarks Tri-County Lodging. So, my plan for this evening was to throw all of the baits that I think should get a bite this time of year to see what is working. After I would get bit on a particular bait, I would put it down and try something else. The fish seemed to like them all, with the exception of no bites on the buzz bait and no bites on the jerk bait. Soft plastics and jig on the bottom seemed to be the bait of choice this evening. Unfortunately however, while I got lots of bites, I was only able to get one small keeper. |
