Fishing Notes |
---|
As I mentioned in yesterdays report I am practicing for a fishing outing tomorrow with Brent Frazee, Outdoor Writer from KC Star and Jim Divincen, Executive Director of LOZ Tri-County Lodging. Since we plan to fish the Glaize today I worked many spots to see where I can feel confident about getting a bite. As soon as I would get a bite in a specific location, I would leave that spot, either my moving from the point to the very back of cove or move to another area all together. I got bit on every spot that I fished, however just as yesterday, when I was trying many different baits, I only had one small keeper. I did have a giant fish, must have been 6-7 pounder come off after the hook set, the fish surfaced jumped and threw the jig. Unfortunately I have no pics of the bass, however, I was fishing in a pocket under a condo complex with on-lookers from the condos, they were directing me to where they were seeing fish from their vantage point, it was pretty cool actually. I will go back after that fish tomorrow. Today’s bite was primarily on the jig and C-Rig with boat sitting in 3′-8′ of water and fan casting around secondary points and backs of spawning pockets. I had a few blow ups today on the Crock-o-Gator Head Knocker Buzz bait and one short one caught on the buzz bait. |
