Pockets and small stretches of channel banks between pockets in the Glaize

Fishing Notes

Got my boat today after blowing up the engine a month or so ago in the U.S.A Bassin tournament. I fished some areas in the Glaize that I have had good luck this time of the year in the past. I fished the spook for an hour or so with many bites. The bass seem to not want to commit to it as they were not your typical explosion. i had several misses as they just did not want to commit. I caught 6 on the spook and all were 13-14inchers. I saw a few come up to the spook and turn away.

The 5 pounder was caught in 10 feet of water between docks near the back of a cove. i am thinking the bigger bass have moved the banks a bit with this cooler weather we are having. i tried behind several docks, the side of docks inside the dock and could not get bit like we have been around the docks. I think this cool weather, north wind and rain have slowed the bite down today.
