Fishing Notes |
---|
Today Lisa and I fished the back of coves just off the flat where the water starts to drop into deeper depths. Most of the fish we caught were mostly small. A few were post spawn bass that were quite skinny. i had a few small bass on the Carolina Rig. The best bit i had today was on a jig on the back corner shaded side of the dock. I had a good one on the back corner that came off near the boat. I had another skinny post spawn bass on the next dock back shaded corner. The spook bite has been good lately although luck has not been on my side the past 2 days. Last evening I had a hog on the spook that had me circling the boat as she was one angry bass. I made the mistake of trying to swing her in the boat but she didn’t want to have anything to do with that…threw the spook one way and she went the other. Tonight I had a good one on the spook behind a dock, hammered down on the trolling motor to get to the wire before she did. She beat me to the wire. |
