Fishing Notes |
---|
Today Dave and I headed toward the Tan Tara area, we fished the big cove directly across from Tan Tara Island as there are a number of cuts and side coves. We started in the very back of the big cove and caught a small keeper and some shorts on the jig and COG Shaky Head. Our two biggest fish of the day were both hanging close to docks in the shade. The jig fish was definitely a post spawn female as you will see from the pictures, she was long, big mouth but very skinny. The other keepers were also caught around docks on banks with small rocks, not necessarily pea gravel, but slightly larger rock than pea gravel. The top water bite did not produce at all for us today as we threw the spook and buzz bait with only a couple of blow-ups. We had 4 keepers in our first 2 hours when the sky was overcast, then the bite shut down until the sun started to go down. |
