Fishing Notes

Today I was exploring many different locations and depths in preparation for tournament on Sunday with Wayne Fitzpatrick. It is hard to practice netting fish for Wayne, so I fished today to see if I could find some additional spots n options for Wayne and me for Sunday. I was disappointed that I could not get a bite on some of the secondary points and brush piles on those points where I was seeing fish and bait fish in 24′-40′ of water. I threw the jig, shaker head and spoon on them but could not get bit. My best bite was a bit shallower today on main lake points with big rocks and the docks close by those docks. While I worked these points out to 25′-40′ of water (boat traffic made that an adventure), my best bite today was shallower in 5′ – 15′ of water. The jig big jig was the main bite for me today.
