Fishing Notes |
---|
This afternoon was a fun day fishing, although I had two soaking down pours. I fished from about 1:00PM – 4:30PM, targeting big docks in the no wake zone between the Glaize and Osage, trying to avoid the big waves of summer weekend boat traffic and trying to hide from the strong winds this afternoon. Most of my good fish came off deep brush piles and around bait fish. The key to the bite seemed to be deep brush piles in 15-25′ with the jig and swimming the swim bait at the level of the bait fish 10′-20′ over 15″-50′ of water. My son Rob just sent me a pic of a nice 4 pounder fishing from a condo dock in about 15′ of water with the Dirks jig. |
