Fishing Notes |
---|
Today as yesterday, I got on the water about 4:00PM and as soon as I backed my boat out of my slip it started to rain, which usually is just fine with me, for some reason the past couple of the days the rain has shut off the bite versus turned it on. The rain was a constant steady down pour. Generally the weather never really affects me when on the water, but today the bite was slow and the constant down pour just did not suit me, so I only fished 2.5 hours. As yesterday, I was trying a lot of different baits and structure just to see if there is anything that I am missing to get a consistent bite. As we have had steady rain for the last couple of days, the water level is rising so I thought I would go against the grain of the migration of the bass to points and decided to fish shallow flats in the backs of coves. This actually produced my most consistent bite on the Zara Spook, while I did not catch many fish, I did have many blow ups on the spook, so that made the time fishing more enjoyable. |
