Fishing Notes |
---|
After nearly a week of being off the water, it was great to get my line wet again. However, I was expecting a much better bite this afternoon due to the strong generation of water being pulled through the dam. I have had great success in past years when they start running the water In June, catching fish in numbers and size off main lake points and long tapering points. However, today all I could get was three “clone” 16 inchers. I literally started on the point at the confluence of the Osage and Glaize and just point hopped, fishing about 8-10 main lake points, a few bluff cuts and finally working the current hitting side of some docks. I had one keeper in a bluff cut and two keepers swimming a swim bait along side the main lake docks, counting my bait down to about 15′. |
