Fishing Notes |
---|
After several days practicing and fishing the Big Bass Bash on Grand Lake in Oklahoma, I was able to get back on Lake of the Ozarks for a couple of hours this afternoon from 2:00PM-4:00PM, yea the hottest part of the day :). I targeted deep brush piles in 13′-20′ of water. On my second cast I caught a small keeper from the top of brush pile, however not within the brush, rather after I pulled through the brush and was swimming my worm back to the boat. My second fish a short fish, was actually sitting in shade right on a bank and the final two were in log jams in bluff pockets. Last summer about this time of year, I had some really good bites in those log jams, although they are shallow, the fish seem to get there, I am guessing for the shade and whatever food source in there. |
