Fishing Notes |
---|
Today I started out early about 8:30, fishing bluffs and bluff ends along the stretch between Tan Tara and Linn Creek, catching a few short fish with the Crock-o-Gator jig in about 10-20′ of water. Then I picked up my son Rob at about 10 and we fished until 12:30 catching 4 keepers including a 3 pounder and a 4.7 pounder along with a few more shorts. As I have seen the past few days, the bait fish are starting show up in some balls near the mid to back areas of coves with deep water creek channels. 2 keepers were caught along the front half of docks with the boat in 9′-12′ of water, brush seems to be the key to this bite. The 4.7 pounder came on a blackberry colored texas rigged 10″ worm on a brush pile in the front of a dock in 20′ of water. It felt good to finally get a big bite today and several keepers. |
