Fishing Notes |
---|
Today I was on the water from about 1:00 – 4:00PM. As I missed fishing in the morning, I fished the no wake area between the Osage and the Grand Glaze, to avoid the big waves of the summer weekend boaters. I stayed in two coves the whole day, Robins Resort Cove and Formula Boats cove. My primary objective was to find and mark as many brush piles in these coves as possible, so that in the future I can refer back to them when the time is right to use brush in differing depths and located on specific structure (docks, channel banks, main and secondary points). I did back off and fish many of the brush piles that I came across that were in 10′ – 20′ of water. My only consistent bite was behind a couple of docks that were over deep water with brush behind the docks, however they were short fish. While no keepers were caught today, I felt a productive day due to filling up my graph with brush piles for future use. |
