Fishing Notes |
---|
This afternoon I got on the water about 4 and fished until about 6. I had several bites and two small keepers on the Texas Rigged worm, targeting the shade around docks, skipping and flipping under swim docks, pontoon boat lifts and backs corners of docks, basically any place that I could find very dark shade. I caught 4 fish and 2 small keepers in 8′-15′ of water. I did not get any bites in brush piles this afternoon, my guess is that due to the higher water temps, the bass were tucked well under the docks. I moved to another cove and caught a couple of Kentucky/Spot Bass shallow in 3-5′ of water in shade. Then I flipped the D-Bomb in the front of a dock into about 20 feet of water and the big bass, 5.1 pounder (weighed on my scale) nailed it, I got a great hook set and eventually swung that big unit into the boat. I wish I could say that there was a pattern, but all I can figure out is the fish want to be either in shade or deep around some sort of structure or cover. As mentioned in yesterdays fishing log, the pics are not being taken from the actual location of the fish catch. |
