Tonight Ben and I went after the Wednesday Night Derby yet again! we had scouted some good brush in the past week or so we felt confident in our game plan. The tournament couldn’t of started out any better we caught two good keepers by 7:15 only 45 minutes into the tournament! both fish came out of brush. We continued on going from pile to pile in the glaze. For the next two hours we were only able to land 14 inch fish. I had one really good bite around 8:30 and the fish got hung up in the brush and we were unable to get him out! that hurt!! We ended the night with the two fish we caught right away. Those fish probably only weighed 7 pounds or so. 14.83 ended up winning the tourney. What a humbling sport you can really catch one night but the next night is never guaranteed!! |
